Some events you organise and forget. And then there are those that stay with you.
The inauguration of the new Honorary Consulate of Croatia in Florence was one of those evenings. One hundred guests including institutions, diplomats, figures from the cultural and sporting world, gathered in one of the most exclusive venues in the city: The Lodge Club.
An institutional event is not a party
When we organise a birthday or a private celebration, the protagonist is a person. Their preferences, their personality, their story guide every creative decision. An institutional event works differently. The protagonist is never a single individual, but a historic moment, a diplomatic message, a symbol. Every detail must serve something greater, without ever overshadowing it.
The challenge is not to impress but to create the right context so that the evening speaks for itself.
Protocol as a language
Institutional events have unwritten rules that an event maker must know deeply. The order of precedence, the management of VIP guests, the timing of the evening, the tone of every communication. Nothing can be left to chance, because in these contexts every detail says something. Working closely alongside the client, building every choice together, was essential in ensuring the evening reflected exactly the vision and significance of the occasion.
The result
An elegant, authentic evening that brought together different cultures and people around a shared moment. Florence, once again, proved itself the perfect setting.
